Tim joined Baillie Gifford in 2007 and became a partner of the firm in 2016. He is an investment specialist, overseeing the institutional client base that invests in Long Term Global Growth, one of Baillie Gifford’s most concentrated equity strategies with a focus on transformational payoffs. He also leads the broader client specialist ecosystem at Baillie Gifford. In recent years, Tim has been closely involved with the development of Baillie Gifford’s Shanghai office. Prior to joining the firm, Tim joined Arthur Anderson in 2000 before moving to AT Kearney where he managed a number of private equity projects. Tim graduated MEng in Aeronautical Engineering from the University of Bristol in 1999.
Stuart joined Baillie Gifford in 2003 and is a Director in the Clients Department. He became a Partner in the firm in 2014. Stuart oversees distribution and coordinates global marketing and product development activity. He sits on various management groups including the firm’s Strategic Leadership Group, Client Management Group and ESG Oversight Group. His experience with the firm prior to his current role has included managing institutional sales and consultant relationships, and the creation of a dedicated financial institutions team. In recent years Stuart’s focus has been on the development of the firm’s overall ‘Actual Investors’ philosophy and the integration and development of our ESG investment research activities and strategy offerings. Prior to joining Baillie Gifford, Stuart worked with Dresdner RCM in Hong Kong and Aberdeen Asset Management in the UK. He graduated BA in Finance and Business Law from the University of Strathclyde in 1993.
